Private Charters
Ideally located at the back door of the Darwin Convention Centre,
Mangrove Route can tailor trips to ensure that your delegates have an
interactive and personal eco encounter on Darwin Harbour while still
maintaining their conference schedule. Charters for
Conference Groups can be tailored to suit busy schedules, ranging from
sunrise habitat cruises, to lunch time harbour blasts or sun setters at
speed. Ideas include:

An
early morning 1 hour cruise to take in sunrise over Darwin, the morning
hum of the harbour and the activity of a mangrove waterway – all this
and be back in time for breakfast, refreshed and ready to start the day;

A
lunch time 40 minute high speed harbour visit to visit three sites of
harbour significance; the site of a ship wreck from the war; an ochre
pit and the quarantine area for illegal boat activity;
· Sundowners – either on the sandbar, or cruising round the harbour enjoying the ambience of the tropical sunset and majestic harbour views.
Corporate/Social Charter
Eight or more of you – then treat yourself to a unique Darwin experience and charter the Snubfin. The possibilities are endless, and a Snubfin Charter is a great way to show off Darwin. Any of the Mangrove Route products are available for private charter; you can organise a private Turtle Tour, a Let The Tide Decide beach picnic, Sundowners on the Sandbar, a guided tour around the Harbour or a visit to see specific maritime activity. In 2009 Mangrove Route provided a sandbar experience for birthday parties, hens parties, foodie groups and visiting corporate guests. Harbour charters went in search of dugong, dolphin, and visits to unique vessels. The Snubfin seats 20 people, has state of the art equipment and full passengers facilities. It can load over the bow for beach access or pick up from harbour locations
Commercial Charter
The Snubfin is a state of the art fast boat powered by twin 225 four stroke engines. It cruises at 20 – 25 knots and if fully surveyed to class 1C for 24 pax. The vessels range extends from Bynoe Harbour to Tiwi Islands to Cape Hotham. It is fully equipped with sonar, GPS, hydrophone and facilities for passenger comfort. The boat can load midship or over bow; is equipped with a dive ladder and is shallow drafted for beach/reef access and tidal conditions. The boat is ideally suited either as a passenger craft or work platform. Mangrove Route’s staff includes commercially certified Divers; marine biologists and indigenous guides who all hold qualifications appropriate to their expertise. The Snubfin is available for first response work; liberty work or crew transfer.
